First off, thank you to everyone who sent in contest entries. We are so grateful to have such talented and loyal fans! The Le Tigre Karaoke Contest took us on rollercoaster. . . we laughed, we cried, we threw our fists, we scratched our heads.

THANK YOU so much to all of you who who sent us a song, we love you!

As you can see the entries went beyond “karaoke” into cover songs, extrapolations, mash-ups, critical commentary, and video art. WOW. How impossible to pick a winner! After much deliberation, the entry we kept coming back to was TÓPICO CALIENTE. This unplugged rendition of Hot Topic is a Raincoats-esque lullaby or daydream of feminist art and recent radical history.
